When it comes to Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy it's always been a passion of mine. I (Adele) have been specialising for over 30 years so know a thing or two about helping you with your skincare needs from your teens to your 90's and beyond, including perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.

I also have a strong belief in providing the public with the latest information, on what is happening within the beauty world.

How it can impact on you, as a consumer, your skin and your pocket. Everything, from crazy dehydration to acne that has suddenly appeared for the first time in your 40's and what about that itchy dermatitis!!

We, at Skindividual Beauty, try to be as ecologically minded as possible. We only use recycled packaging, and the extra treats that are put into our boxes have been chosen due to their eco-awareness, that they fit in with our ideals.

We care about the body as a whole and as practicing holistic therapists, finding the best methods to maintain homeostasis within the body is often a key step in aiding the recovery of most skin issues, this is where a lot of skin issues start.

My Story

I started my career as an internationally qualified beauty, holistic and specialist massage therapist. This was over 30 years ago, while my children were still small. After completing all my qualifications, I decided to start working in a home salon from my converted garage. At this time I was using the fabulous Pier Augé products and slowly, without any advertising just relying on word of mouth, I began to build up my first set of local clients. I only worked in the evenings and in-between school hours and gradually I began to manage a good work and home life balance.

During this time, I also widened my skill set of treatments. I began taking extra courses and studying all over the country to qualify further in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Advanced Facials and Massage courses.

Thus followed a two-year stint where I worked at Champneys. Working briefly in the Spa resort and then settling into one of their Day Spa's, where I gained a huge amount of experience with many different product brands and  equipment. It was a complete joy and great experience working with so many wonderful people and on so many different types of skins.

Following on from Champneys, I rented therapy rooms in both St Johns Wood and Marylebone High Street Branches of  Neal's Yard Remedies store's. There I practiced Facials, Holistic Treatments, and Massage Therapies to new and regular clients who would repeatedly come for treatments with me, from as far away from Dubai, South Africa and New York. I Even had a regular Facial Client who came fortnightly from Paris on Eurostar. During this time I received a written testimonial in The Times on Saturday.

After my shift was over in Neal's Yard, I would then travel visiting clients in Belgravia, Knightsbridge and the surrounding areas, visiting clients with my mobile holistic treatment service.

Unfortunately, due to a serious road traffic accident in early 2010 my life changed, and I found myself unable to do many of the therapies that I so loved doing. I find it intensely frustrating to want to carry on helping my clients and not being able to do so, when you know how, but you do not the physical capability.

As I can no longer do massage and standing therapies . I decided to put my heart and soul into doing what I could to help people with skin issues.

I am a level-five Beauty Therapist / Aesthetician and am passionate about good skin hygiene. - looking after your skin, and keeping up with your homecare, sunscreen, and gut health. There are still so many reasons it could it be why your skin isn't "behaving" not just that you are not looking after it. It could be down to your diet or lack of vitamins?

After all " It's not just on the surface of the skin -It goes much deeper."
